Features
Floors can be insulated at both residential and industrial levels. The materials required for this purpose and their usefulness are detailed below:
- Alveolar aeration system. It is a sanitary emptying under the floor of the chamber whose purpose is to prevent the soil from freezing. The expansion of the cold would end up seriously damaging the foundations, and the honeycomb system is the best way to avoid this.
- Presolera. Cleaning screed of about 5 cm plus alveolar cardboard to absorb previous irregularities.
- Asphalt cloth. It is a vapor barrier formation by means of asphalt fabric and molten fiberglass.
- Extruded polystyrene board insulation: promotes thermal insulation and, in terms of materials, is available in polyurethane or extruded polyurethane.
- Polyethylene insulating sheet. Polyethylene sheet that avoids the penetration of the water that produces the setting of the concrete.
- Floor slab. It is a slab at the end of the concrete. They are placed on the ground on which the material is going to be deposited so that this and other structures settle.
- Socket. It provides gas tightness. It is very useful for controlled atmosphere chambers and to avoid gas leakage and the material, galvanized steel sheet with polyester, is impermeable to gas.
The panel wall is embedded in the screed, and its lower part is stripped of the sheet metal in order to break the thermal bridge. The rest of the installation is sealed with fungicide.
